A lot of fun can be made with the lights turned off and a bottle of vodka. Sometimes without even opening the bottle!
The picture was taken in a dark room with a flashlight swirling around the bottle. Using slow shutter is fun to do, but requires a lot of patience getting the right shot.

Thanks! I think I might try another prject like this soon. It’s really not that hard (I should keep that to myself shouldn’t I?) to create a picture like this. All you need is a dark room, something to photograph and a flashlight.

This is what happens with too much Vodka. Better stay away from it. You might start seeing white lines… Cool image.

How did you make it?
The bottle was put on a black cloth in completely dark room. While the lights were still on, I adjusted focus and took some test shots to see if everything was ok. Then I just turned of the light and pllayed around with different shutter speeds and flashlights. The technique is called “drawing with light”, and that is precisely what I have done to achieve this image. It was taken with the shutter open for 6 seconds, and a trail of light around the bottle.
In post-edit I have used some different approaches to make the colours “pop”. I have also increased the sharpness on the bottle, while leaving everything else nice and soft.
